CoachCam AI ("we", "our", or "us") operates the CoachCam AI mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- Name (first and last)
- Authentication credentials (managed by our authentication provider, Clerk)
Video Content
When you use the App to record or upload golf swing videos, we collect and store:
- Video files you upload
- Video metadata (frame rate, resolution, duration)
- Processed swing data derived from your videos (extracted swing clips, thumbnails)
- AI-generated analysis data (key swing positions, annotations)
Device Information
We may collect information about your device, including:
- Device type and model
- Operating system version
- Push notification tokens (if you enable notifications)
Usage Data
We collect information about how you interact with the App, including crash reports and performance data through our error monitoring service (Sentry).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the App's core functionality
- Process and analyze your golf swing videos using our ML pipeline
- Store your swings in your personal swing library
- Enable you to share swings with coaches and other users
- Send push notifications about processed videos (when enabled)
- Improve the App's performance and fix bugs
- Improve our AI and ML models
3. How We Store Your Information
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices:
- Video files are stored in Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 with server-side encryption
- Metadata and account data are stored in a PostgreSQL database with encrypted connections
- Video delivery uses AWS CloudFront CDN with signed URLs for secure access
- Authentication is handled by Clerk, a third-party identity provider
All data is stored in the EU (eu-west-1 region) and transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in these limited circumstances:
- At your direction: When you create share links, the recipients can view the specific swing videos you choose to share. You control which swings are shared and can revoke access at any time.
- Service providers: We use third-party services to operate the App, including AWS (cloud infrastructure), Clerk (authentication), and Sentry (error monitoring). These providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations to protect your information.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal process.
5. Your Choices and Rights
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access: You can access all your swing videos and data through the App
- Sharing control: You decide which swings to share and can revoke share links at any time
- Push notifications: You can enable or disable push notifications through your device settings
- Account deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at support@coachcamai.com
6. Data Retention
We retain your video content and account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Shared swing links that have expired are automatically cleaned up. Revoked shares are immediately inaccessible.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with the following third-party services:
- Clerk — authentication and user management (clerk.com/privacy)
- Amazon Web Services — cloud infrastructure and storage (aws.amazon.com/privacy)
- Sentry — error monitoring and crash reporting (sentry.io/privacy)
9. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest (S3 server-side encryption)
- JWT-based authentication for all API requests
- Signed URLs for secure video access with time-limited tokens
- Access controls ensuring users can only view their own data
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
